Having made your nomination, local projects should bring organisations together to help find out more about your suffrage pioneer and to develop activities to commemorate the person and her/his achievements. We have selected 100 names for a national focus in 2018 but we also want to hear about local community projects that celebrate your nominee, whether in the national 100 or not.
From January through to June in 2018, there has been central project support for local activity to celebrate and commemorate the 100 nominees. There has also been local development of the project through research, displays, celebrations, discussions and events. Local projects have been submitted from June 2018 to celebrate local pioneers and build a legacy of wider civis engagement, especially of women.
The toolkit on this website provides a few ideas of how to celebrate and commemorate your local pioneer. Stories included on this site highlight some of the community projects taking place during 2018.
